Mission Statement

The De Anza Youth Soccer League is a member of the California Youth Soccer Association and serves the youth of the Cupertino, Saratoga and West San Jose areas of Northern California. The De Anza Youth Soccer League offers fun and challenging programs for all ages and abilities. Affiliated playing leagues include CSSL, CYSA-Cal North, Elite Club, US Soccer Academy, Far West Regions, Norcal, GSSL, and Recreational leagues.

Interested in joining the league? All new teams wishing to enter the De Anza League must contact league president David Burgee before any registration materials will be handed out. Thanks.

Individual players looking to join a competitive team should contact the coach of each team directly to arrange a tryout. League-wide tryouts for teams under-13 and younger are held each year in late January and early February. Notices will be sent to all Cupertino schools and ads placed in the local papers after the first of the year. Tryouts for teams are listed on this site on the Team Tryouts page.

Individual players looking to join our under-10 and younger recreation program should contact the recreation director directly.

League Meeting Times and Procedures

Unless otherwise noted, meetings of the DYSL Board of Directors are the 4th Tuesday of the month, at 7:30 pm at the Creekside Meeting Room, Creekside Park, Creekside and Miller avenue, Cupertino.

All coaches are welcome and encouraged to attend the monthly DYSL Board Meetings. The meetings are an excellent opportunity for you to meet other coaches, exchange information, and learn more about DYSL, CYSA, and the issues facing youth soccer in our area. All coaches are voting members, and can directly participate in developing the league. The DYSL Board would warmly welcome your participation and attendance. We look forward to seeing you there.

Meeting Procedures & Agenda Input: If you wish to have a topic or item discussed at a meeting you must notify the league President no later than ONE WEEK before the meeting. This means that the President must be emailed by 7:30pm the Tuesday preceding our Tuesday meeting.

This will enable all to prepare for meetings at which topics are being discussed that may impact their team. Of course, it is highly recommend that all coaches attend every meeting, but it is understood that this is not always practical.

As a result of this policy, no items will be discussed at any meeting which are not on the Agenda sent out Sunday night. This new policy is implemented in the hope of providing a free and fair discussion for every member of the De Anza League. Thanks for your cooperation in this process and for your time and effort in making our league a great one.
